Halesowen were able to secure Northern Premier League survival with a 0-0 draw at Ilkestone last week. Since then they have gone on to lose two consecutive league games and will surely be in for a tough task when promotion chasing Nantwich come for a visit to the Grove tonight.
The clash will be the the Yeltz’ 4th game in 10 days and considering they are also troubled by a few injuries, we believe their chances for points are quite slim. Defenders Kyle Morrison, Rob Taylor and James Bennett all missed the game on the weekend and are doubts tonight as well.
Nantwich lost their last home game of the season against Workington on Monday, but still only need a point from their last two games of the season in order secure a promotion playoff spot. They have an excellent opportunity getting that done that already tonight against lowly Halesowen. Nantwich boss Phil Parkinson is not too worried about his team’s defeat on Monday as he believes his side did well and were the better team.
The Dabbers have a great goal scoring record away from home this season and we see no reason why that would change tonight. The visitors will no doubt be fired up and ready to secure that playoff spot as early as possible.
