York seem to have found their stride lately and have won three of their last four league games. They have an excellent chance to make it three wins in a row when they welcome bottom of the table Nuneaton Borough to Bootham Crescent today. The Minstermen have done pretty well at home all season, with seven wins and three draws from 15 games. Hopes are high for another three points today.
The home side will be without midfielder Simon Heslop who is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury. Back up striker John Parkin will also be missing, but other than that manager Steve Watson should have everyone ready and raring to go.
Nuneaton Borough are in big, big trouble, both on and off the field. They are dead last in the league, 17 points from safety and also need financial investments in order to pay salaries or risk going bust.
Several key players left the club in January and only a few who started the first game of the season are still at the club. The replacements haven’t been good enough and the situation looks a bit hopeless at the moment.
Boro haven’t won in the league since the beginning of December last year and we don’t give them much chance here.
