AIK vs Jönköpings Södra
AIK undeservedly lost away to Helsingborg in the last round of Swedish Allsvenskan and now sit in a less than impressive 11th place in the table. That is definitely not good enough for a club with ambitions of winning the league, and improvement is needed as soon as possible. They are still undefeated at home but need to turn draws into wins in order not to fall too far behind the top teams. They have done well offensively all season with 16-year old Alexander Isak bursting onto the scene with two goals in five appearances and impressive performances. Him and 20-year old Carlos Strandberg (on loan from CSKA Moscow) are an inexperienced but enthusiastic front line for the Stockholm outfit and have already proved they have what it takes to score goals in the Swedish top tier. We believe the the whole team will get their act together tonight and claim all three points.
Team news: Denni Avdic, Dickson Etuhu and Amin Affane are still out.
Newly promoted Jönköpings Södra have surprised many this season and sit fifth in the table after six rounds. Tipped for relegation at the start of the season and only managing a 1-1 draw at home to bottom team Falkenberg in the last round might suggest that the surprise element is wearing off a bit though. They are still to win away this season and we don’t expect that to change tonight.
Team news: Stian Aasmundsen is back in the squad after sitting out the last game to to a hamstring strain.
