Anderlecht vs Mechelen
Anderlecht have made a decent start to the league and sit third in the table after nine rounds. The fans are expecting more though and the biggest problem so far has been the goal scoring. The club are still to find a good replacement for Aleksandar Mitrovic who left for Newcastle during the summer, even though new signing Stefano Okaka has put in his share with three goals. There were big hopes for Nigerian Imoh Ezekiel, new from Standard Liege, but he has yet to score this season. Maybe tonight will be a good time for him to break his duck even though Matias Suarez is the more likely to start. At home Anderlecht are always reliable and have three wins and two draws from five rounds. We believe they are likely to add another win tonight.
KV Mechelen have made a poor start to the league and sit third from the bottom. This does not come as a big surprise as they finished ninth last season and lost one of their best players in Ivan Obradović (left for tonight’s opponent Anderlecht) during the summer. They did add a few players on free transfers as well as a couple of loanees, but the squad is not strong enough to challenge for any of the top spots this season. Away from home they have only managed a single point so far and they are not likely to add to that tally tonight.
