Bournemouth vs Manchester United
Bournemouth have after a difficult start to the season now gone undefeated in three games in a row. Last weekend they impressed as they defeated a struggling Chelsea side 1-0 at Stamford Bridge. What makes it even more impressive is that they have several players missing due to injuries. Adam Federici, Sylvain Distin, Marc Pugh, Lee Tomlin and Tommy Elphick have all picked up knocks recently while Callum Wilson, Max Gradel, Tyrone Mings and Christian Atsu are long-term absentees. Despite the recent rise in form they will surely have to be at their best once in order to pick up points tonight.
Manchester United can’t afford to dwell on their Champions League exit for too long as they now have to focus on the league. They are after all fourth in the table only trailing leaders Leicester City by three points. Dropping any more points against teams in the bottom half of the table is out of the question and they will for sure want to put the Wolfsburg defeat right. There are however several injury concerns ahead of tonight’s game with Chris Smalling, Matteo Darmian, Marcos Rojo, Luke Shaw, Antonio Valencia, Ander Herrera and Wayne Rooney all set to miss out due to injuries while Bastian Schweinsteiger is out suspended.
With that said, we believe Manchester United are still good enough to get at least a point here.
