Chambly – Chateauroux
It’s a defensively decimated Chambly side that welcome Chateauroux to Stade des Marais in the 19th round of Championnat National tonight. Guillaume Sert, Mickaël De Araujo, Opa Sanganté, Chouaïb Sagouti and Youcef Touati are all out either sick or injured and Freddy Rocher is only half way through his 8 matches suspension. That is five missing out the 11 that managed to grab a point off Boulougne in the last round. They do get a few players back but having scored only 17 goals in 19 rounds it has been the defense that has been key to the team staying above the relegation zone. Now that three out of four in the back are out it could be a completely different story.
Chateauroux is one of the form teams in the league at the moment and are undefeated in 7 straight league games, including 4 wins. They haven’t lost away from home since September last year and hope to continue that streak tonight. Confidence is high and with top scorer Oumare Tounkara seemingly unstoppable at the moment (4 goals in his last 4 games) chances are good they will claim all three points here. They will have to do without suspended duo Judicael Crillon and Bilel Agueni otherwise coach Cédric Daury could name an unchanged starting eleven that defeated Les Herbiers 4-3 away in the last round.
