Greenock Morton vs Rangers
Promoted Greenock Morton has been the surprise package in the Scottish Championship this season and sit in a respectable 6th place in the table. They are however starting to be found out it seems and now have two straight home defeats against Raith Rovers and St. Mirren. An even tougher test is expected tonight as league leaders Rangers come for a visit. Morton lost the first match 0-4 between the two but claimed a famous point at Ibrox when they met again in December. With the visitors now in red hot form, points will surely be hard to come by.
Team news: Morton are unable to use defender Luca Gasparotto as he is on loan from Rangers. Striker Peter Macdonald is out injured.
Is this the season Rangers finally take the step up to the Premiership again? It sure seems that way after they returned to form to win four straight games in all competitions, scoring a massive 19 goals in the process. They now top the table and have a two point cushion down to Hibernian with one game in hand. Striker Martyn Waghorn seems unstoppable at the moment, scoring 10 goals in his last 8 appearances. He scored a hattrick the last time the teams played at Cappielow Park and is looking to further at to his tally tonight. We see no real reason why he shouldn’t.
Team news: David Templeton is the only absentee for Rangers while Nathan Oduwa has returned to parent club Tottenham
