Jönköping Södra vs Mjällby
Jönköping Södra have had a great season so far and are on course for promotion to the Swedish top tier for the first time since 1969. They are topping the table with a nine point cushion down to Sirius on third place with eight games to play. Home ground Stadsparksvallen has been a fortress all season, where they have recorded nine wins, one draw and one loss with a goal difference of 24-8. They lost for the first time in seven games last week, 0-2 away to Degerfors, but the result didn’t reflect the game as J-Södra were on top for most of the 90 minutes. Today they take on bottom placed Mjällby and hopes of three points are high. Jönköping boss Jimmy Thelin has a full squad at his disposal and has a decision to make whether to start Damir Mehic or Anton Cajtoft between the sticks, the two have shared the goalkeeper duty so far this season.
Relegated Mjällby have experienced a torrid season and find themselves at the bottom of the table. They have however improved lately and now have a proper chance to avoid relegation. Coach Hasse Larsson has to deal with a bit of a defensive crisis tonight as he has to manage without Lucas Grill who is suspended and Daniel Ivanovski who is out with a hamstring problem.
We believe there is just two much between the teams and expect a relatively comfortable home win.
