Kettering vs Paulton Rovers
With three wins in a row Kettering are now back in contention for a promotion play-off spot this season. They are currently 8th in the table, 8 points adrift Hungerford in 5th but with three games in hand. Besides picking up important wins, The Poppies have been in excellent goal scoring form of late, hitting 18 goals in their last 5 league games and four in each of their last two. At Latimer Park they have only lost once in their last 10, including 6 wins and have one of the best home records overall in the league. Kettering boss Marcus Law want’s his team to “seize the massive opportunity” when Paulton Rovers come for a visit tonight and we believe chances are very good for another three points.
Team news: Rene Howe and Wilson Carvalho will have late fitness tests after being withdrawn on the weekend but are likely to be fit and ready to play.
Paulton Rovers have certainly not had the best of seasons and have a massive 10 points up to safety sitting in 22nd place in the table. After a small revival in January where they went undefeated, they are now back to where they’ve been most of the season, losing games. The 0-5 smashing at home to Redditch United on the weekend was definitely a low point and with three straight defeat they almost need a miracle to avoid relegation. We don’t see that turnaround coming tonight against an in-form home side.
