Lommel Utd vs Lierse
Lommel look doomed for relegation from the Belgian second division this season, after only picking up four points from the initial 12 rounds. They are still to win this term and as they are welcoming Lierse to Soevereinstadion tonight, we don’t believe that is about to change.
They will have defender Wouter Corstjens back from suspension, but are still missing Geert Berben, Umberto Carvalho, Timo Cauwenberg and Sam Valcken.
Lierse are topping the table after defeating previous league leaders Antwerp 2-0 away on Saturday. They visitors have won four of their six away games this season, losing only once, and are now the favorites to gain promotion come May. Despite having a few players out, they should be the clear favorites there.
The last meeting between the two in January ended in a 5-1 win for Lierse, and even though we’re not expecting that kind of goal frenzy tonight, we’re putting our money on an away win here.
