Roma vs Sampdoria

Roma have been looking much better since returning Luciano Spalletti was appointed new coachin mid January following the sacking of Rudi Garcia. Spalletti has overseen 2 wins, a draw and a loss (away to Juventus) since he took over and with two straight league wins the hope of a Champions League spot is back on. Roma were active during the transfer window bringing in Stephan El Shaarawy (Monaco), Ervin Zukanovic (Sampdoria) and Diego Perotti (Genoa) and look much improved with the new additions. Their home form has been good all season (7-3-1) and against a Sampdoria side lacking form they should be seen as clear favorites.

Team news: Edin Dzeko, Alessandro Florenzi and Lucas Digne return from injuries to boost the squad while Daniele de Rossi and Radja Nainggolan are missing.

Sampdoria have been in a free fall in the league lately, losing 4 of their last 5 games in Serie A. The drop in form saw the club act during the transfer window bringing in the likes of Fabio Quagliarella (Torino), Andrea Ranocchia (Inter), Jacopo Sala (Verona) and a few others but it might take a few games before Samp boss Vincenzo Montella gets his team organized with so many new additions. Away from home Sampdoria have only won once and lost 7 in 11 outings and are likely to struggle against a rejuvenated Roma side.

Team news: Lorenzo De Silvestri and Jacopo Sala are injured and Modibo Dhiakite is suspended.
