Benfica vs Galatasaray
After two straight Champions League wins against Astana and Atletico Madrid, Benfica suffered defeat to Galatasaray in the last round. No shame in that as the trip to Istanbul is a tricky one for any club. At home it’s a completely different story and Benfica have only lost once in their last nine home games in the Champions League. Nicolas Gaitan is the only player to have scored in all three group stage matches so far and the home fans hope he will continue his good form tonight.
Galatasaray have been doing well in the league lately and claimed their first Champions League win since December 2013 against Benfica a fortnight ago. Away from home they haven’t won in the Champions League since March 2013 and have only picked up 2 two points from their last 9 away games in Europe.
With a win tonight, Benfica are almost certain to go through to the knock-out stages and we think they will do just that.
