Bognor Regis’ form in the last few weeks has been nothing short of amazing. They finished the regular season with six consecutive wins in which they scored a massive 24 goals. That run took them to second in the table, only a single point away from claiming the title and automatic promotion. It’s still been a very impressive season and the fans are now hoping the team can bring that momentum into the playoffs. The first hurdle comes tonight as Dulwich Hamlet visit Nyewood Lane. The visitors actually won both encounters between the teams during the regular season, but with The Rocks holding the best home record in the league we still see the home side as favorites here as it seem like they can’t stop scoring at the moment.
Dulwich Hamlet stumbled in their promotion play-off chase as they lost to 20th placed Needham Market in the last league round on Saturday. Based on that result they needed Enfield not to win their away game against Hampton & Richmond in order to make the play-offs, and luckily enough for Dulwich, the game ended in a 0-0 draw. The performance on Saturday wasn’t good though and it might suggest the team’s form is heading in the wrong direction. Away from home, Dulwich have struggled defensively all season and have only kept two clean sheets and have conceded the most amount of goals of the top nine teams in the table. Against a offensively strong home side, they could be in for a busy night.
