Eibar vs Granada
Eibar has been the surprise package in the Spanish Primera Division this season and sit 7th in the table with more than half the season gone. Such has their form been lately talks about a European spot are now emerging. Though it might be a bit premature, Eibar have certainly impressed everyone so far, both home and away. They have three straight wins in the league and their goal scoring form have been excellent lately, notching up 12 goals in their last 5 games in all competitions. Leading the way has been Borja Bastón who is already on 10 goals this season, the same tally as a certain Lionel Messi. Bastón has scored in the last three league games and against a defensively weak Granada side, that streak could well be extended tonight.
Team news: The home side have bolstered their squad with the loan signing of Jota from Brentford. Gonzalo Escalante and Jaime Jimenez are out injured but Mikel Arruabarrena and Manuel Castellano are likely return to the squad. Aleksandar Pantic is suspended.
Granada are in terrible shape at the moment, losing three in a row in all competitions and conceding four goals in each of those games. The 0-4 defeat away to Barcelona may be forgiven but 0-4 against Valencia and 1-4 away to Las Palmas is less than impressive, to say the least. They now sit 17th in the table, just above the relegation zone, and will need to start picking up points soon to avoid being relegated. Against an in-form home side, points won’t come easy.
Team news: Midfielder Javi Marquez is out injured and striker Ruben Rochina is suspended.
