Hibernian – Greenock Morton
Title chasing Hibernian take on Greenock Morton tonight in the 25th round of the Scotish Championship. The home side are trailing league leaders Rangers by 8 points, with one game in hand, and need to continue their good form to have a fair chance of claiming the title and automatic promotion to the Premiership come April. Their home form has been superb all season (10-2-0) and with six wins in a row in all competitions they go comfortably into tonight’s game. New signing from Celtic, Anthony Stokes, hasn’t scored in a couple of games so don’t be surprised to find him on the scoresheet tonight.
Team news: Hibernian boss Alan Stubbs has no new injury concerns but Fraser Fyvie and Danny Handling are still out.
Greenock Morton were disappointing in a 0-1 defeat at home to Falkirk on Saturday and failed to close the gap on Raith Rovers on the last promotion playoff place. Their form hasn’t been the best lately with only 4 points out of 21 possible in their last seven games in the league. Though playing quite decent away from, we believe they will struggle tonight.
Team news: Morton have Paul McMullan on a short term loan from Celtic and he will be eligible to feature already against Hibernian.
