Ipswich vs Birmingham
Ipswich made a great start to the Championship season with three wins and a draw from the first four rounds. They then lost a couple in a row but got back to winning ways with an away win at Leeds on Tuesday. With only two full days of rest they now take on Birmingham, who also have made a decent start to the season. They are without Tom Bishop but should be able to welcome top scorer Freddie Sears back to the starting lineup.
Birmingham’s unbeaten run came to an end when they were beaten at home to Nottingham Forest on Tuesday. That was the first time this season they left a Championship game without scoring. Previously they had had no problems creating chances, and converting them, and they are already on 11 goals in only 6 league outings. Clayton Donaldson has kept his goal scoring boots from last season on and has already managed to find the net three times.
There should be goals in this game and we wouldn’t be surprised if there is at least one a piece.
