Kongsvinger welcome Florø to Gjemselund Stadion tonight in the re-start of the Norwegian second tier, OBOS-ligan. During the short summer break KIL have appointed a new manager in Mark Dempsey, who left Start recently after their poor start of the season. The appointment is unexpected since Dempsey previously has been coaching at a higher level both in Norway and Sweden, and hopes are now high the Englishman will help the club take the next step and turn them into a promotion candidate.
The players are excited over their new coach and captain and top scorer Adem Güven confirms that practice has been really good and that the only thing on the players mind is 3 points tonight.
Florø are bottom of the table having only picked up 11 points from 15 outings so far. They’ve been especially weak away from home where they have only managed a single point so far this season. They have improved somewhat lately but still have three defeats in a row coming in to today’s clash.
They have signed Georgian winger Otar Javashvili during the summer after he impressed during a trial at the club.
