Lazio vs Empoli
Simone Inzhagi got an excellent start to his tenure as Lazio boss with a convincing 3-0 win away at Palermo on Sunday. Tonight he hopes to make it two out of two when 12th place Empoli come for a visit to Stadio Olimpico in Rome. Last time the two met at the Olimpico, Lazio won 4-0 and even though we don’t believe they will be as dominant this time around, they should still be seen with a good chance at claiming all three points. German striker Miroslaw Klose scored a brace at Palermo and is likely to get the nod up front again. Inzhagi is probably keen on keeping the same eleven that did so well in his first game in charge and might only let fit again Basta start in the back four.
Team news: Berisha, Mauri and Kishna are all out injured.
Empoli have done reasonably well with the resources they have and should be safe from relegation this season. They have however really struggled when playing away lately, only picking up two points from their last six league outings on the road. They also don’t like the trip to Rome and we believe they will struggle for points tonight.
Team news: Empoli will be without influential midfielder Piotr Zielinski who is suspended as well as Livaja and Skorupski who are injured.
