Nancy vs Niort
Nancy have made the best start to a season since being demoted from Ligue 1 in 2013. They are still undefeated after five rounds (3 wins, 2 draws) and sit second in the table, trailing only early leaders Metz. Being able to hold on to several players with Ligue 1 experience, and adding a couple of new faces during the summer, have allowed coach Pablo Correa to form a strong team. He has a fully fit squad at his disposal for tonight’s game and will surely be going for all three points. Always strong at home, this could be the year when the Lorraine side win promotion back to Ligue 1.
Niort have had a very difficult start to the season and have only managed two points in five games so far. This comes as no surprise as several key players left the team during the summer. Florian Martin, Kevin Malcuit, Mouhamadou Diaw, Quentin Bernard and Yoann Barbet have all departed and the few replacements the club have been able to bring in have not been of the same standards. We can’t really see them getting anything from this game.
