Roma – Liverpool
The second leg of the Champions League semi-finals is upon us. Rome and Stadio Olimpico is the venue and Roma and Liverpool the contestant, where Roma are chasing a 2-5 deficit from the first leg. The home side are hoping to do what they did to Barcelona a few weeks ago, where they turned what seemed an impossible 1-4 deficit into a 3-0 win. Roma are going to have to go for it quite early in the game if they are to stand any chance of a copy and paste here.
Liverpool have been fantastic in the Champions League this season and surely deserve a place in the final, and after 80 minutes in the first leg of the they seemed like a sure bet to do just that. They are however vulnerable at the back and 2 goals by Roma towards the end made sure this tie is not quite over yet.
With Roma having to set up offensively the magnificent Liverpool front three of Salah, Firmino and Mané are sure to get their looks at the goal. Mané scored in the first leg and although he is a slight doubt tonight, he could come into this game rested as he did not play on the weekend. He might not be the most prolific goalscorer but with the speed he possesesses, he is sure to get his chances. We don’t believe Liverpool with leave this game scoreless and it might just be Mané who shows up on the scoresheet.
