São Tomé and Príncipe vs Morocco
São Tomé and Príncipe are going into tonight’s African Cup of Nations qualifier against Morocco praying to avoid another trashing. They were heavily beaten by Cap Verde (1-7) in their opening Group F clash and are hoping to keep the score a bit lower this time around. Wishes that might not be met as Morocco look to have a strong team this year. São Tomé and Príncipe have never made it to the main tournament and will not this year either.
Morocco started their campaign by defeating a strong Libya side 1-0. The squad is filled with quality players from top clubs in Europe, Nabil Dirar (Monaco), Youssef El-Arabi (Granada), Manuel da Costa (Olympiacks), Nordin Amrabat (Malaga) and Omar El Khaddaouri (Napoli ) to name a few. There are more than 100 places seperating the two teams in the FIFA rankings and anything but a big win for Morocco would come as a big surprise.
