Tranmere vs Halifax
Tranmere return home to Prenton Park tonight for a clash against Halifax Town, after a week on the road with trips to Gateshead and Braintree. Coach Gary Brabin is hoping his team will stretch its undefeated run to four games and further enhance the position as title contenders this season. Apart from Liam Hogan, who had to come off at the weekend and is doubtful, there are no other injury or suspension concerns. If Hogan is unavailable Brabin feels he’s got adequate cover in experienced Martin Riley, new from Mansfield this season. Things are looking real solid and Rovers are gunning for three points tonight.
Halifax have had an awful start to the season with three straight losses. Going in to the season The Shaymen were expected for mid-table anonymity but if the losses keep piling up they could be in for a tough season. Travelling to title favourites Tranmere on a Tuesday night with 0 points in the bag, is definitely not ideal.
