Warrington Town are back in action this weekend as they take on bottom of the table Sutton Coldfield at Cantilever Park. The yellows are rested and raring to go after their game against Nantwich on Tuesday was postponed.
The home side have struggled for form in the league lately, but still sit third in the league, only 3 points behind league leaders Altrincham. They did get back to winning ways last week as they defeated Bamber Bridge in an FA Trophy and they are now ready to kick start their league campaign.
Warrington will also be excited to have signed experienced midfielder Steve Jennings from Southport, the 33 year old former Tranmere Rovers player will add some needed leadership in the midfield. They are also expected to have skipper Jay McCarten back after missing out last week.
The Yellow’s boss Paul Carden believes he has one of the better strike parnterships in the division in Tony Gray and Jamie McDonald. Don’t be surprised to see one of the, or even both, on the scoresheet this afternoon.
Sutton Coldfield are on a terrible run and look like a side who will struggle to stay in the division. In their last league outing on Tuesday they lost 0-4 at home to Stourbridge and are now winless in the last seven, scoring only twice and conceded 25 times in the process.
