Wigan vs Oldham
Wigan are gunning for promotion and are undefeated in 9 straight league games. Their 2-0 win away to Sheffield United a week ago was a big statement and confidence in the squad is now on a definite high. Wigan boss Gary Caldwell can call on the same players as last week and is unlikely to make any changes to his starting eleven. That means Conor McAleny, on loan from Everton, will up front after scoring on his debut on Saturday.
Team news: Michael Jacobs and Kevin McNaughton reamain out but Caldwell has a big and strong squad so that should not cause any trouble.
Oldham are in deep trouble after losing 8 of their last 10 games in the league. They now sit 23rd in the table with 6 points up to safety. They did win their last league outing away to 20th placed Shrewsbury but haven’t played a game since 26 January due FA Cup break and match postponement. Not the ideal preparation when visiting high-flying Wigan at DW Stadium.
Team news: Defender Connor Brown is still suspended and will miss out. Another defender, Brian Wilson has a groin problem and is also unlikely to feature. Striker Dominic Poleon is a doubt.
