Young Boys are tipped to have an outside chance to challenge for the title in the Swiss Super League this year. The Bern outfit ended last season 12 points adrift their superiors from Basel and hope to at least close the gap this season. Coach Ulrich Forte has kept hold of his best players during the summer, including top scorer Guillaume Hoarau (17 goals last season), and have invested wisely in Miralem Sulejmani and Loris Benito, both from Portugese side Benfica. Striker Hoarau is suspended tonight after getting sent off against Thun last week, but there should be enough firepower in the squad still.
Lugano won promotion from Challenge League last season and have found life in the top flight tough to begin with. The team has one win and three losses so far this season, including a thumping by Grasshoppers (1-6) in the previous round. It does not come as a surprise that goals are being scored, both for and against, considering Zdenek Zeman signed a one year contract as coach at the start of the season. The Czech, previously with Roma, Napoli, Cagliari etc, is known for his all-out-attack approach to the game and goals will surely flow both ways all season long. We don’t think this game will be any different.
