Anderlecht vs Westerlo
In the final game before the winter break, 4th placed Anderlecht take on bottom of the table Westerlo in the Belgian Pro League. Anderlecht only managed a draw at Lokeren on Wednesday, a disappointing result for the Purple & White after having impressed in a 4-1 win at Club Brugge on Sunday. The games are coming thick and fast now but Anderlecht have a big squad and are strong at home, in fact they are the only team still undefeated at their home ground this season. They have won five of their last six games at Stade Constant Vanden Stock and must be seen with an excellent chance of extending that undefeated home streak tonight.
Westerlo have one of the worst away records in the league where they have only managed a single win all season. In the last two away games they have conceded 10 goals and only scored once. The 1-5 defeat to OH Leuven was the arguably the worst performance of the season and confidence is likely not high when they set out for the trip to Anderlecht. They also have to deal with quite a few injuries as both Jordan Mustoe and Maxime Annys were added to an injury list already consisting of Jan Shouterden, Rapahël Lecomte and Jore Trompet.
Anderlecht need a win tonight in order to keep up with Gent and Club Brugge at the top of the table and we believe they will do just that.
