Ebbsfleet vs Bath
Ebbsfleet have after three straight wins grabbed a seven point lead, with one game in hand, at the summit of National League South. They arguably have the strongest squad in the league, backed by Middle East owners, and did very well in the summer signing last season’s player of the year Jordan Parkes from Hemel & Hempstead. Parkes hit 20 goals last season and is already on 8 after 18 games this term. They also made several other key signings, so it’s not surprising they are doing so well. Fleet have actually done better when playing away from home, on their travels they have an amazing 28 points in 10 games. At Stonebridge Road there is still room for improvement and Fleet boss is satisfied with how the training has been going this week. We believe there’s a very good chance for three points today.
Bath made a fantastic start to the season and won all of their first six league games in August. They had another three draws after that before there was a drastic turn in fortunes. The team is now in a free fall in the table and have only managed to pick up a single point in their last 6 league games. They haven’t won away from home in the league since 22 August and are really struggling to find any sort of form. It will definitely be a difficult afternoon for the visitors here.
Ebbsfleet have a squad with players good enough to play in at least a division higher. An out of form Bath shouldn’t cause too many problems for the home side.
