Real Oviedo vs Almeria
Real Oviedo have been in excellent form of late and have four wins in their last five league outings. They are now in one of the playoff spots and with only one home defeat all season they are rightly the favorites in tonight’s clash with lowly Almeria. Oviedo boss Sergio Egea has everyone but Hector Verdes and Miguel Linares at his disposal so the home side will put out a strong starting eleven. Striker Toché scored his second goal in three league outings in the win against Mirandes on the weekend and the summer signing from Deportivo La Coruna is now starting to show his worth. Don’t be surprised if he is among the scorers tonight as well.
Almeria hit a new low when they lost at home to Huesca in the last league round. They are now bottom of the table without a single win away from home this season. They also have to do without defender Fran Velez and striker Chuli who both are suspended after picking up their fifth yellow cards in the defeat to Huesca. First choice keeper Casto Espinosa and defender Michel Macedo remain out injured. They also played in Copa del Rey on Thursday (1-0 defeat to Celta Vigo) so they come into tonight’s game with less rest than their opponents.
We believe that a rested, in-form Oviedo side will be too much for the visitors here.
