Linense – Athletic Bilbao
Linense have a difficult season in the Segunda B behind them and sit 15th in the table after 15 rounds. They have only collected 13 points so far and have already conceded 23 goals, most out of everyone in the league. On the weekend they lost 0-3 at home to Sevilla II in a really poor performance, so the form and confidence might not be the best at the moment. Tonight they have to deal with Athletic Bilbao in the round of 32 in Copa del Rey and we find it hard to see them manage the pace and strength of a top team in Primera Division.
Athletic Bilbao are in excellent form at the moment, both in the league and in Europa Leauge. They have eight wins and one draw from their last 10 games in all competitions and are huge favourites to progress here. This is the first leg of two and Bilbao will rest quite a few players tonight, among them top scorer Artiz Aduriz. They have however plenty of quality in the squad and the players coming in will want to do their very best to impress Bilbao boss Ernesto Valverde.
There are after all two divisions separating the teams, so we can’t really see anything but a one-sided affair here.
