Nuneaton vs Corby
Nuneaton Town were relegated from the National League last season but look on track to bounce right back up again. They top National League North with 40 points in 19 rounds and are on an eight matches unbeaten run in all competitions, including seven wins. Nuneaton boss Kevin Wilson was also deservedly awarded Manager of the Month in November. They have a busy schedule ahead with three matches in seven days and the first stop is lowly Corby Town at home this afternoon. Their goal scoring form has been excellent lately, scoring 24 goals in their last seven games, and the visitors haven’t showed anything to prove they could end that today. Aaron Williams has already scored 10 goals this season and new loan signing from MK Dons Kabongo Tshimanga scored the winner against North Ferriby on Tuesday and showed he could be a really shrewd signing.
Corby were promoted last season but have struggled in their new surroundings, only picking up 17 points from their first 19 games. They actually started the season quite well but now seem to have been found out and have only managed six points from their last 11 league games. They have especially struggled against teams from the top half and lost heavily to Harrogate (0-3) in the last round. They also lost 2-6 against Tamworth on Saturday in the FA Trophy so they have some serious defensive work ahead of them.
