RB Leipzig vs Heidenheim
RB Lepzig are in excellent shape at the moment and look almost certain to be promoted to Bundesliga this season. They top the table and have a 6 point cushion down to Nürnberg in third (playoff spot) and five more points down to Bochum in fourth. With four straight home league wins and 8 league wins in their last 9, it will take something really special to have them beaten. Especiallly since they apart from scoring a lot of goals also have the league’s strongest defense, conceding only 19 times in 23 league outings. Leipzig boss Ralf Ragnick was not happy with the team’s performance in the win away to Paderborn on Friday and expects better at the Red Bull Arena tonight. We are counting on a much improved performance and with the quality players they have, another win should definitely be on the cards.
Heidenheim have proved their critics wrong this season and sit comfortably in 7th place in the league. Promoted from the third division in the 2013/2014 season, many “experts” thought they would struggle in the difficult second season after promotion. However Heidenheim have done really well so far and should be safe from relegation. Despite losing a few players in during the winter break, the away side are undefeated in 2016. They are however missing suspended key midfielder Sebastian Griesbeck tonight which makes and already tall task even more difficult.
